Her Japanese American father, Rocky Aoki, a former Olympic wrestler, was the founder and owner of the Benihana restaurant chain until his death on July 10, 2008. Music from this video was featured in the soundtrack of 2 Fast 2 Furious, which Ludacris and Aoki both appeared in. In 2006, she made an appearance in The Killers' video "Bones". Aoki has made a cameo appearance in the short films accompanying the new Sean Lennon album, Friendly Fire. She also played Anna in 'Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Undead.
Her acting career includes films like 2 Fast 2 Furious, D.E.B.S., Sin City, Dead or Alive, War and Mutant Chronicles. She did not have her driver's license prior to filming 2 Fast 2 Furious and had to learn to drive during filming.[3]
Aoki has joined L.A.'s International Creative Management for representation and The Firm for management.
Aoki has been on the cover of I-D magazine three times. She was also the face of Lancome cosmetics for four years. Aoki posed for renowned Singaporean photographer Leslie Kee for Kee's 2006 charity photo-book "Super Stars", dedicated to the victims of the 2004 Asian tsunami disaster, which consists of photographs of 300 Asian celebrities by Kee. The same year, Aoki posed for photographer Marc Baptiste’s book Nudes wearing a dress.
In September 2007, it was announced she was designing jeans line for Levi's, although the line was only available in Asia.[4]
Aoki recently made a return to the runway, walking for the Chanel Pre-Fall 2008 show in London. She is signed to 1/One Management New York (owned by her mother), d-Management Milan, and City Paris.
Trivia
Aoki lives on her own in Los Angeles, and keeps her personal life private.
She is interested in writing poetry, playing the drums and hanging out with her two pet snakes.
In 2006, Aoki's father, Hiroaki Aoki, sued four of his seven children for attempting to take control of the companies he founded. Devon, uninvolved in the family business, was not one of the four.[5]
Her half-brother, Steve Aoki, is a Los Angeles DJ and the founder of Dim Mak Records. Aoki also has three sisters—Ellie, Grace, and Echo—and three other brothers—Kyle, Kevin, and Cole Price

Happy Birthday Michelle Yeoh May God Bless You.....

Early life & career
Michelle Yeoh Choo Kheng was born to a prominent ethnic Chinese family in Ipoh, Malaysia on August 6, 1962. Her parents were Janet Yeoh and Dato' Yeoh Kian Teik, a lawyer and MCA politician.[2] She was very active when she was young and had a passion for dance. She started to study ballet at the age of four years old. At age 15, she went to England, accompanied by her parents, who enrolled her at a boarding school there. Yeoh later entered London Royal Academy of Dance, majoring in Ballet. However, a spinal injury shattered her lifelong dream of being a prima ballerina, and she consequently had to switch her focus away from dance to choreography and other arts. She later received a B.A. degree in Creative Arts with a minor in Drama.
In 1983, at the age of 21, Yeoh won the Miss Malaysia beauty pageant. She was also Malaysia's representative at the 1983 Miss World pageant in London. From there, she appeared in a television commercial with Jackie Chan which caught the attention of a fledgling Hong Kong film production company, D&B Films.
Yeoh's career in Hong Kong started with a few commercials for Charles Jourdan, opposite action movie heroes Jackie Chan and Chow Yun-Fat before being offered a film contract. The Charles Jourdan brand was handled by D&B Group in Hong Kong, run by Yeoh's future husband, Dickson Poon. In 1988, she retired from acting after marrying Poon. Three years later, the couple divorced and Yeoh returned to acting in 1992. Her first movie after the comeback was Police Story 3, which was partly shot in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Ascension to fame
Yeoh started her film career acting in action and martial arts films such as The Heroic Trio in 1993, and the Yuen Woo-ping films Tai Chi Master and Wing Chun in 1994. Yeoh has had no formal martial arts training and she relies on her dance training and instructors, and does many of her own stunts.[3]
Yeoh learned English and Malay before Cantonese, and cannot read Chinese characters. As she does not speak Mandarin, she learned the lines for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon phonetically.
She starred in the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies as Wai Lin (1997). Natasha Henstridge was rumored to be cast in the lead Bond girl role but eventually Yeoh was confirmed.[4] Brosnan was impressed, describing her as a "wonderful actress" who was "serious and committed about her work".[5] He referred to her as a "female James Bond" in reference to her combat abilities. She wanted to perform her own stunts but was prevented because director Roger Spottiswoode ruled it too dangerous and uninsured. However, she did perform all of her fighting scenes.[6][7] Thereafter, she was offered the role of Seraph in the two sequels to The Matrix, but she could not accept due to a scheduling conflict (the Matrix writers then changed Seraph into a male character and cast Collin Chou in the role).[8] In 2002, she produced her first English film, The Touch through her own production company, Mythical Films.
In 2005, Yeoh starred as the graceful Mameha in the film adaptation of Memoirs of a Geisha, and she continued her English-language work in 2007 with Sunshine. In 2008, Michelle Yeoh also starred in the fantasy action film The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor with actors Brendan Fraser and Jet Li.[9]
Personal life
Yeoh is related to other famous Yeoh such as Yeoh Ghim Seng and Benjamin Yeoh. Her niece, Becky Yeoh, is also the subject of a internet viral hit, and parody music video, that was recorded in Cambridge in 2007, called ' Yeoh Technology', which can be seen at [http://www.zduk.co.uk ZD Studio's Youtube page.
Yeoh was previously married to Hong Kong businessman Dickson Poon, who owns businesses such as Harvey Nichols and Charles Jourdan.[10]
On 31 July 2008, after having been caught sleeping with in the Ferrari luxury motor home, Yeoh confirmed the rumor that she was engaged to Jean Todt, a leading figure in motor racing, during an interview with Craig Ferguson on CBS's The Late Late Show.
In March 2008, she visited Vietnam to film a documentary for the Asian Injury Prevention Foundation (AIPF).
Michelle Yeoh is also a supporter of the Save China's Tigers project which aims at saving the endangered South China Tiger through rewilding and release them into the wild. She has become an ambassador for this conservation project.[11]
Awards
On 19 April 2001, Yeoh was awarded the Darjah Datuk Paduka Mahkota Perak (DPMP), which carries the title Dato' by Sultan Azlan Shah, the Sultan of Perak, her home state, in recognition of the fame she brought to the state.[12] The award was given in conjunction with the Sultan's 73rd birthday celebrations. Dato is an honorary Malaysian title somewhat like a British knighthood, and it lies below the ranks of Dato' Seri, Tan Sri, and Tun.
On 25 November 2002, Michelle Yeoh was honored as The Outstanding Young Persons of the World (TOYP) (Cultural Achievement) by JCI (Junior Chamber International).
On 23 April 2007 President Jacques Chirac awarded her Knight of the Legion of Honour of France. The decoration was presented to her in a ceremony in Kuala Lumpur on 3 October 2007.[13]

Wishing Kajol, a very Happy Birthday

Shakespeare once asked 'What's in a name?' The reason as to why he asked that was probably because, at that time, he surely must not have heard of 'Kajol'. The name Kajol immediately sends electrifying vibes to anyone and everyone who hears it.
Today, the whole of Bollywood is celebrating and has every reason to do so as it is the B-Day of its very own eternal 'Simran' aka Kajol and vice versa! Kajol, for starters, made her acting debut with Rahul Rawail's Bekhudi. Even though the film did not shine at the Box-Office, it gifted Bollywood its very own firebrand actress, Kajol, who later went onto become a name that's synonymous with many smash-hit films. While others demand a Numero Uno status, Kajol is (and forever will be) one actress who simply commands it! Baazigar, DDLJ, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Fanaa etc… are standing testimonies of the same!
Even though many may deny on the face of it, but the eternal truth remains that Kajol's recent comeback in Bollywood has been giving sleepless nights' galore to many heroines. Such is the power of Kajol!
Join Bollywood Hungama as we put our hands together in wishing this actress a "Very Happy Birthday" by posting your wishes below.

Happy Birthday Sonu Nigam

Happy Birthday Sonu Nigam May God Bless You............

Sonu Nigam made a sensational announcement on the eve of his birthday, that he wants to quit Bollywood playback singing. This may come as a huge shock to his fans and producers alike who consider Sonu as the best playback singer in Bollywood.
Sonu said , “This is something I have been thinking about for quite some time now and this year I decided to make a formal announcement on the eve of my birthday, that I now want to retire from singing. When I entered this industry, the only motive I had, was to earn name as a playback singer. By God’s grace, not only did I get immense fame as a playback singer but I also cut music albums, judged contests, anchored shows and also worked in a movie. After having done all this, I now feel it is prudent to make a graceful exit. I have a long-standing dream to own a farmhouse and practice agriculture or horticulture over there. That is what I now want to do. I certainly cannot just announce my farewell on a whim, leaving all my commitments unfulfilled. But I’ll begin cutting down on my work, such that if I am now singing a hundred songs, now it will be only thirty and then slowly diminish to nil.”
But we hope Sonu changes his mind, atleast for the sake of his fans …..

Happy Birthday Sanjay Dutt May God Bless ..............

Celebrity astro numerologist Bhavikk Sangghvi predicts what’s in store for Bollywood’s most loved ‘bhai’– Sanju baba in days to come. Sanjay Dutt was born on the 29th July 1959, which makes him a Number 2 (Moon) person in numerology. He is a Leo (ruler Sun– Number 1) and his destiny number adds up to Number 6 (Venus). Being ruled by Number 2, he is automatically ruled by Number 7 (Neptune). “Sanju will be entering his 51st year (adds to 6) which indicates some great times in his personal life. On top of that, the year 2009, which adds up to No.2 is one of his best numbers and will further bring joyful moments. It seems his wish to be a father is likely to come true very soon,” predicts Bhavikk. “On the professional front, his next release ‘Blue’ adds up to No.7. Sanju is ‘karmically’ connected with Number 7 (Numbers 2 and 7 always go hand in hand) and so this film will earn him a lot of praise and appreciation. Later in ‘Aladin’ the title of the film adds up to No.6, which will further increase his fan following. In ‘Chatur Singh Two Star’ too, his character will be applauded,” says Bhavikk. But Bhavikk continues in the same breath, “The above mentioned films may not necessarily turn out to be big hits, but Sanju baba will only catapult his position with these films”. “I would advise him to wear a Yellow Sapphire to be set in gold for taking decisions more firmly and strengthening the bond with his family,” signs off Bhavikk. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BABA!

Wishing Priyanka Chopra a very happy Birthday

Posted: Saturday , Jul 18, 2009 at 1238 hrs
Even though she has 'PR' as her initial two letters in her name, she is one chic who just does not need any PR to be in the news. On the other hand, it's the term 'PR' that feels honoured and gratified to be a part of her name. We are indeed talking about the one and only gorgeously astonishing girl whom the world knows as 'Priyanka Chopra'. We would rather call her the 'Birthday Girl' as she celebrates her grand birthday this Saturday.
Hailing from a middle class family, Priyanka is a perfect example of ethics, morals, values and principles. Not just that, she is also an epitome of three vital ingredients that's required to be extraordinarily successful, viz., hard work, dedication and sincerity. All that it took for Priyanka is a win at the Miss India competition which eventually escalated her to an emphatic win at the Miss World pageant, followed by a galore of never-ending list of modeling assignments! After all of this, was her ultimate step towards superstardom which came in a golden platter called 'Bollywood'.
