76 Years of Excellence: Celebrating the Iconic Legacy of Shivaji Satam

Namaste, everyone.

As I wake up today, April 21, 2026, and see the sheer volume of messages, edits, and heartfelt wishes pouring in, I am reminded of how fortunate I am. People often ask me, "Shivaji, how does it feel to be another year older?" Honestly? It feels like the beginning of a brand-new episode—one where the script is still being written, and the lead actor is just happy to be on set.

From the Bank to the Big Screen

Looking back, the journey has been nothing short of a whirlwind. Many of you know me as ACP Pradyuman, but before the finger-pointing and the "Kuch toh gadbad hai," I was a simple man working at the Central Bank of India.

Acting wasn't just a career move; it was a calling that started on the Marathi theater stage. Whether it was Vaatchaal or the intense moments in Natsamrat, theater taught me the discipline that I carry with me even today. It’s funny how life works—you start by balancing ledgers, and you end up balancing the scales of justice on national television!

The Legacy of the Badge

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the show that changed everything. For over two decades, C.I.D. wasn’t just a job; it was a family.

  • The Team: Daya, Abhijeet, Fredricks... we weren't just actors; we were brothers-in-arms.

  • The Fans: You guys are the real detectives. You noticed every detail, every repetitive dialogue, and turned them into memes that still make me chuckle today.

  • The Impact: Knowing that families sat together every weekend to watch us solve crimes is the greatest award I could ever receive.

"People still stop me at airports and say, 'Sir, please say the dialogue once!' It’s a testament to the love you've given that character for thirty years."

What’s Keeping Me Busy in 2026?

At 76, I’ve learned that the best way to stay young is to keep moving and keep learning. My days now are a beautiful blend of:

  1. Cinema & Content: I’m still exploring roles that challenge me. The digital age has opened up so many avenues for seasoned actors to tell "real" stories.

  2. Family Time: Spending time with my grandchildren is the one mystery I never want to solve—I just want to enjoy it.

  3. Nature: There’s a certain peace in the quiet moments that the hustle of a film set can’t provide.

A Heartfelt Thank You

To my fans, my colleagues, and my family: Thank you. Thank you for sticking by me through every season of life. Whether you know me as a theater artist, a film actor, or the man who solved a thousand cases, please know that I carry your love in my heart every single day.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I think there’s some cake waiting for me... and knowing my family, "Kuch toh gadbad hai"—I suspect they’ve gotten me a much bigger cake than they promised!

Stay happy, stay curious.

With love,

Shivaji Satam
